The Oaks
at Liberty
Senior Housing
Baltimore, MD
Two vintage brick, granite and limestone early 1900's school
buildings were converted into 80 units of senior housing that
included a new three-story, brick, stucco and cast stone addition.
Public space on 2nd and 3rd levels contains a gas fireplace,
kitchenette, laundry and reading rooms; and two new elevators
provide easy access between floors. All units are adaptable
for people with disabilities while ten units are fully ADA compliant.
Attached to the Senior Center by trellised walkways, other site
amenities include an adjacent rose garden, tree-shaded gazebo
and benches, and surface parking for 50 cars.
