Community Center

Edgewood, MD

A visually "magnetic" focal point, the 17,000-SF community "rec" center is situated in the corner of a seven-acre community park within walking distance of a dense, ex-urban Harford County neighborhood. Designed for maximum visibility and minimal staffing, the facility puts Maryland State Police volunteers in direct mentoring contact with neighborhood youth. The center houses a gymnasium, game/activity rooms, an arts and crafts room, a fitness area, a computer lab, and a licensed daycare facility.
