The University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute is a 383,000-SF, multidisciplinary research, development, education, and exhibit facility for aquaculture and fisheries, marine environmental study, microbial and extremophile biotechnologies, and functional genomics. ABA Architects was responsible for all construction specifications, ADA compliance, building codes analysis, fire safety requirements, and all laboratory F F & E for the entire Baltimore Inner Harbor facility. Zeidler/Roberts was the lead architect. ABA Architects and GWWO Architects were the joint venture associate architects.
