Washington, DC

Designed as a signature building for the 1935 urban campus, the new 83,000-SF facility forms the basis of a new gateway and anchors the green "quad" commons. Bio-informatics library functions serving Howard University's schools of medicine, dentistry and nursing include problem-based learning classrooms, computer labs, multimedia presentation and conference rooms, distance learning labs, diametric collection rooms, private study carrels, and print, multimedia and network/online resources serving faculty, students and the community. The project was designed and construction supervised by Hillier/Amos Bailey Arnold Joint Venture.
